Leyla Kampeter (*1996 in Hamburg) graduated in 2026 with a diploma in Fine Arts (painting) from the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin, where they studied with Friederike Feldmann.
Working across acrylic painting and spatial installation, Kampeter creates works that exist within their own sacred world, guided by one central aim: to spark joy. The fun of the practice comes mainly from experimenting with cardboard. Rooted in spontaneity, the work draws inspiration from the unconventional forms and visual language of illegal art in public space. The resulting environments open up queer-femnist spaces that invite play, curiosity and new ways of relating.
